Projekt Kaufhaus Joske
When I moved into a ruinous house in Karl-Heine-Straße, I noticed the wall writings on the falling plaster. With Cindy Schmiedichen and Rebecca Wilton, who already lived in this house, I started researching their origin. Originally they belonged to the Joske department stores' in Leipzig Plagwitz. And from 2008 to 2010, a very successful series of events took place on the question of whether and how one could reappraise its history with the means of art, which was concluded in 2016 with a symposium on strategies of unconventional forms of remembrance culture.
