When I was working on the book Another Earth Catalog and the exhibition Another Earth about the Whole Earth Catalog I pondered over the subtitle access to tools. Strictly speaking, in order to use an axe or a shovel, for example, you need something to connect to it. For that there is a thing, usually made of wood, that is shaped after the human hand and the tool. This is the interface between hand and tool. From the study of the case studies, the series hand tool interface has emerged, presented in the manner of an ethnological collection.
